    For ink engine: The output of a single producer is enough for more than 1 ink-engine. I used it for at least 2 or 3 engine. You can also combine all the lines with normal pipes so when you unlock efficiency extra with research to get better management or output. Also try to get all the big motif maker slot used first and then go for the small one. I think the small one are good for cut/upgrade shape, and the big one are for base unit production.

    This game looks great and i love your content! As someone who has played a lot of Factorio i'm somehow able to ignore lot's of the glaring mistakes, but PLEASE: 1) From what i have seen, congestion will never happen because of joiners in the demo - it's always production > consumption (the cutter is stupid though, it cuts a shape into two, sends the first half and then waits an eternity before sending the second, not doing anything and the full shape just congesting upstream) 2) I think the pipe-bro is able to supply multiple engines, based on your hover-overs on the various pieces (eg you can have maybe 9 canvases supplied from a single ink deposit) 3) But most importantly: you don't save units, they are produced RT during fight, so you don't have to slow down speed early, because the only important factor is how fast you are producing at the beginning of fight. Pre-generating units is there only for the exp, getting the idea of production speed and for the upgrade breakpoints

    You have production % backwards in your mind. 100% is bad not good. it means its bottlenecked and can't produce because they are going at full capacity and not keeping up.

    I recently got into this game. I am not sure if you played the latest patch. But there is a whole new area with even crazier enemies and two new nice bosses. Also new spells and wands, aswell as a new charakter and a new mode "nightmare". The new charakter is another tentacle girl, where you can disable curtain spells for the run, so your chance of forcing a curtain builld is higher. Maybe you already knew about it, but since you didn't upload a video, I thought you migth take a lool into it.

    Dude is being drowned in produce and he is like "clearly the problem is we produce too little". Opportunity cost clearly means they cannot unload cause the conveyor is full.

    Today I achieved something extremely broken and stupid with the Blade of the Chosen and the Copy machines: it's possible to make duped Heroes loop back into the Copy machines, and with clever use of Splitters and Joiners, I essentially created an infinite duper that grew more and more in productivity until it reached a point where the system was congested and reached an insurmountable limit. I had a constant stream of Champions at the end and obliterated the boss.

    You can click on the little map with the feather on the right bottom during combat to continue building your factory, if your minions can fight the battle well enough on their own 😀

    Hello sifd , just here to tell you that a single ink harvester can supply at least 3 engines easily, you also don't need to individualize your ink pipes, you can build a giant pipe network, much like "metro lines " sprawling the entire map , all flowing back to the ink source. Just think about your house for example, every single water outlet is connected to your pipes and go all the way to the main water source right? All pipes are interconnected. Only build more ink harvesters when you hover a pipe and it says something like 0,5/ 6.0 (its almost empty).

    So around the 30 minute mark where you were dealing with the congestion (i haven't watched past 32 yet so not sure if you'll figure it out), but.. the congestion is based of the conveyor line being full; they can't produce at 100% because the output lines aren't available. The answer would've actually been speeding up the archer creation spots to the left; would increase the amount of heroes used, thus clear out the line. Edit: you did figure it out around 34m haha

    Please understand that, adding minion to canvas will (decrease the utilization and increase the production of canvas). since it produce faster, it causes congestion down the line. Minion should be placed in 100% utilised canvas, so that it have more capacity to produce thus increase production. Even though it decreases the utilisation less than 100% which means the canvas are producing efficiently. So summary: -100% utilisation means it can not take in more input, which causes congestion UP the line if it has more input than the canvas can take -less than 100% utilisation means it is producing efficiently but can take in more input -increasing production by speeding up 100% utilised canvas, may cause congestion DOWN the line if the following canvas do not have enough production speed/already at 100% utilisation

    how does the big canvas with 3 inputs actually work? can you do stuff like pipe half circles, circles, and triangles into the thing and make straight up archers without having the step in between of making the normies and combining them with half circles afterwards?

      Correct , you can go straight for "classed" units, when the game releases we will want to eventually stop using basic dudes mid run.

    "Is the game even losable?" I mean, it obviously is on the first run, and RNG is involved, especially if you don't even know you're gonna run into a wall of bears. That said, the game gets much, much easier on continuous runs. Extra life. Bees. Insect totem. One guaranteed (OP as hell) boon on the Leshy fight. Double Greater Smoke on every boss fight. There's more. Those are just some examples. I think your base deck gets stronger with the added talking cards, as they have small advantages over the non-talkers of similar cost. I intentionally kept going with Act I, leaving the film in the clock, unlocking all the secrets, and the game became a cake-walk. I take all of this to mean you're intended to eventually beat Act I, no matter how poorly you play the card game aspect.

    22:47 it wasn’t working because you were feeding it units that had already been through it so it won’t accept them a second time gumming up the whole system you need to delete the whole conveyor system to get fresh units then it should work as you imagine

    Normally i'm like "ah, sifd, silly little goose making silly little mistakes" but this has been a little too much even for me :D PS: never played the game and only saw it as the previous video 1) Always calling the Champions "Heroes", which is the general name for all units (?) 2) The unending shenanigan with the routing, which hurt my soul 3) Saying the mergers were the problem when it was just throughput of the belts, which cant take 3 or 4 lanes into one unupgraded 4) Kind of obvious you can't use the failed dudes again, given their separate animation and the fact it collapsed the whole line once already 5) The ink... well i'm with sifd on this one why is the black ink not mentioned, and why is it so hard to find what it is anyway (i'm not colorblind and wasn't able to tell). I don't know how it works but maybe you can just save a canvas and splitting by speeding up a single canvas with ink? Also, why speed up canvas that are already not 100% because you don't have enough parts? 6) Sifd still thinks that you "save up" the heroes for battle, while you don't. You produce them RT as the battle starts based on your home production. You can even go back and change it if you want i would think. The only point of "producing" them during the build phase is to A) see how fast you go and B) to trigger the number-based upgrades. Because of that phase takes much longer than the fight, only a single champion shows. EDIT1: Yep, blocking the duplication of heroes just before the elite and even then not getting why none appeared :| 7)... i don;t know haven't even finished yet :|

    21:05 The reason u the hero production thing didn't work when u relocated it to bottom is prolly because on the path there were still those heroes who have already been through it once and didn't get the sword, and it's so that u can't just put multiple sword production back to back to just get like tons of heroes( only a guess I don't know anything about this game)

    I can maybe tell you what happened in the wave at 35:00 . Right before, you bonked production by laying down non-functional copy machines. I think it actually continues the production (for the exact same time) and what you get is what you get.

    You should pay a little bit of attention to animations. That ink didn't work on the Blade was obvious the second you placed the pipelines, simply because the little doods didn't play their inkdrawing animation, and the ink machine didn't play its inkmachinedoinginkmachinethingsanimation.

    You are wasting your duplication capability: since you can duplicate the output of the duplicator, you can just loop back one of the output and keep printing heroes without any additional input. You just prime your duplicator with 2 or 3 heroes, then disconnect the input and leave it working, sending the output directly to the battefield.

    I think for the duplicators into duplicators, you should've made one of the outputs go directly into the portals for each of the duplicators, like it seems as if only one of the outputs is enough to feed the next duplicator, there was a lot of potential loss from chaining them together, you did fix the very last one in the chain hit I think you should've done the same thing for all of the duplicators. This game is _amazing_ and I can't wait until the full release!! I feel like it has so _so_ much potential!!

    What happened at 21:06? Answer is already devastated hero cannot go inside Super Hero station and it blocked your super hero assembly line. You need fresh happy hero inside the factory and single sad one block whole production line.

    ok, so the way i understand it what happens during the combat phase is that your factory keeps running, and your units that are appearing on the map are exactly those that get produced during that time. its not a spawn % chance by filling up the unit meter, but exactly the produced units get placed on the map 1:1. the only thing the meter seems to be useful for during build phase is upgrading your units and gaging how many you overall produce. the reason you didnt get the heroes during that elite fight was because you clogged up your pipeline on the heroes just as the fight was about to start. i think you could have switched back to your factory with the icon in the bottom right corner and even quickly fixed your build while the fight was still running.

    Btw thats totally a bug I had about 12 champions heroes produced and would get about 3-4 per fight, you should have had a ton. The hero combo with duplication might be nerfed, as in duplicated units may not be re-duplicated in the future. You can easily see how it got silly. Ink also works like a vascular system you can have a single tube network that goes everywhere and is supplied by several harvesters at once , also their tubes auto combine there are no joiners or dividers for ink. Horses are interesting because they do not require a previous person . You can just produce a bunch of cut parts and spam horses

    the duplication station you got offered at the beginning is probably perfect for the hero build, since you could just funnel the heroes through those and duplicate them several times if you have enough of the stations. i also guess looping the disappointed guys back into the hero machine isnt going to work. that would have been funny. edit.: aaaand he got it. here is a fun idea to break the game though. you cant loop the normies back into the hero machine. but can you loop the duplicated heroes back into the duplicator? you would have to break the loop manually once you produced enough of them to then funnel them into the portal, but it could be possible. but it would mean you could theoretically produce infinite heroes with every single duplicator. you just have to connect the pathes to the portal when the fight begins.

      The duplicator has two outputs, why not loop only one of them back into the machine for max capacity hero production, you can even do the same with multiple machines if you want.

    21:28 The ink engine doesn't work on things that are not a canvas, the engine would show an animation if it's doing anything. The sword thing wasn't working because you can't place a failed warrior through the sword pulling twice.
